Attractions and Theme Parks Management is an English-taught bachelor programme organised by Breda University of Applied sciences located in Breda. The specialisation track is the first and only one of its kind and combines the expertise of three Breda University academies: Tourism, Leisure and Facility management.

Breda University is an international higher education institution with about 7,700 students from over 60 countries. It is situated in the south of the Netherlands, in the city of Breda, only 100 km from both Amsterdam and Brussels. Breda is a historical city with some180,000 inhabitants. Approximately 20,000 young people are studying in Breda. Breda University was founded in 1966 as an institute offering management programmes in tourism and leisure and in this field, it is the largest and leading education institution in the world.

Nearly all our study programmes rank first in their categories in the national rankings and some bachelors are even qualified as top rated programme. International accreditations from, for instance, the UN World Tourism Organization, the World Leisure Organization and the International Facility Management Association, underline the quality of education. All study programmes cover some focus areas which are unique to Breda University. These focus areas are cross-cultural understanding, social responsibility, imagineering and entrepreneurship.

International setting

From the outset, Breda University has always had a strong international outlook. Most of the bachelor’s programmes and all master’s programmes are taught in English. Almost 50% of all students are attending these English-taught programmes, the institute has an international teaching staff, and nearly 13% of the total student population are from abroad.

Breda University set up the ‘international classroom’, a teaching method in which students from different cultures work together. Students are encouraged to do work placements abroad or at companies with a strong international focus. International business, cooperation and co-creation are key elements in the curriculum, both from a social and cultural perspective and from an economic point of view.
