On Friday 22nd of January, an interactive workshop was given to 1st year students about Attractions & Theme Parks Management (ATPM). Students received more information on Projects within ATPM, placement opportunities and the selection procedure.
Amber van der Laar (3rd year ATPM student) gave an interesting presentation about the different projects she has worked on and about her placement experience as a front office employee at Efteling Bosrijk. What are the daily activities as a front office employee? What kind of responsibilities will you get? And what can you learn at other placements?
Then, it was time to start working and show some creativity. The assignment was to think about a new experience themed around candy. What kind of experience can you develop, bearing in mind the target group (families with children), the use of technology, revenue streams and interactive play?
In groups of 4-5, the students were thinking out of the box and came up with new experiences and products for this midway attraction. In this short pressure cooker, the results were already quite impressive and it was great to see the enthusiasm and qualities of the students.
We hope to welcome them next year into ATPM!
Will we see you too?
